Kevin Wong Trash the Dress in NYC – Part I
Kevin, John and I ventured out to NYC and embarked on a journey that we never expected. Stay tuned for "Trash the Dress in NYC Part II" for an actual thoughtful blog post on our journey. **DISCLAIMER: This photo shoot was not personal or had personal feelings involved, especially attached to the dress. We did not do this with malice intent, or to hurt anyone's feelings. It was a personal exploration sort of thing, but there was no meaning in the burning of the dress. Thank you.
I’m still a little overwhelmed from this incredible experience I walked with my friends Kevin Wong & John Taing, but at the request of my mom I said I would post at least a first look of the photo shoot we just endured that became so much more.
Kevin and I sat down at the beginning of the year and decided to make 2010 the year of travel as mentioned in my previous blog. After realizing the world is our oyster, we decided to schedule a part two “trash the dress” shoot in the urban jungle of NYC since we had a wedding dress that well – will never be used, worn, or really even looked at again.

Here are a few of my favorites – hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Kevin & John – thank you for such an incredible experience. I wouldn’t have done it or wanted to do it with anyone else. Luvs.

Oh what a pitty that you have burnt the dress. I would have bought the trashed dress as is for charity reasons. In case you have future trash the dress sessions, please contact me at herwyn.w@skynet.be

Thanks Wendy! It may not look like it in the photos, but I am a whopping 5′1″ with a very petite build. I actually went to charity for donation and they said not to worry about it because my dress is so small (it was made to fit very very tight on me). So instead – we chose to donate to art
I hope you like the photos any way! Kevin Wong is amazing!
